  Jamie Barnes
Jamie Barnes is an award winning singer/songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

With a career spanning 10 years, Jamie is influenced by the great songwriters of new and old (Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell, Taylor Swift). Jamie always puts the song first, and the genre second; weaving in pop, rock, folk, and Americana influences, his is a sound that at its core manages to marry the new with the familiar.

His music has been heard around the world, ranging from its placement in the hit CBC series “Heartland”, to radio play in Scotland, to the 2021 tourism campaign back home in the City of Hamilton.

The album Wilderness won a Hamilton Music Award in 2011, and his 2013 follow up, Coming Home, was nominated along side the likes of Neil Young.

In recent years, Jamie took a break from original music to focus on a multi-year / multi-volume Christmas project, offering unique takes on classic carols and nostalgic favourites.

This diverse catalog evolved once more in 2022, working with Juno nominated producer Steve Lensink, an album of 11 original songs was released entitled "The Want of a Better Tomorrow". The album brought in new fans globally, and was featured on numerous prominent playlists.

Wanting to keep the party going, Jamie has followed up his latest full length album with a new single called "The River and Me".
